Hey! I’m Nic — thirty-something, mum of two (plus one seriously cute pug), and the creative heart behind Crompton & Co.

I first stepped into the world of hairdressing back in 2012, earning my Level 2 and 3 VRQ qualifications before going on to complete a BA Hons in Hairdressing Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. This not only sharpened my skills but also gave me the chance to share my passion for hairdressing through teaching, working with budding stylists aged 14 and up.

I’m a big believer in never standing still — I regularly attend advanced training to stay on top of new techniques, trends, and products. In 2024, I finally took the plunge into nail artistry, adding gel, BIAB, and Gel X extensions to my toolkit — a dream I’d been holding onto for years.

At Crompton & Co, I’ve created a cosy, welcoming space at 35 Bury Street where everyone is celebrated for their individuality and quirks. It’s a place where friendships are formed, laughs are shared, and you’ll always leave feeling like the best version of yourself.

While vivid, head-turning colour work is my first love, I’m no one-trick pony! I adore creating gorgeous blondes, bold and creative haircuts, and I’m always up for experimenting with fun nail art.

My mission? To make every client feel seen, heard, and truly special. I take the time to listen to exactly what you want — so you’ll leave not just looking amazing, but already excited for your next visit.
